Dancers

We are always interested to hear from interested dancers, and as we tend to work on several pieces each season, we can usually accommodate new joiners. Please email us details of your background, and we will get in touch with you and probably invite you to a rehearsal to watch/participate. Our next season will run from 7 April - late June, and we have a few remaining vacancies (replacing current dancers who are moving on).

Full-time dancers

We have recently started inviting full-time dancers to join us between projects, or indeed during (as we only rehearse in the evenings or Saturday afternoons), and can offer expenses in return. This has been a success so far.

Choreographers

Although there are several choreographers already within Cloud Dance, we are extremely interested in hearing from external contemporary choreographers interested in working with us. We have a possible opening for a choreographer for mid-April, otherwise we are interested in hearing from choreographers intending to work with smaller groups to cater for the summer festivals, and beyond.

Dance Students

We are offering summer residencies to five students to join us for all or part of the summer, to provide them with experience of working alongside professional dancers and with a range of choreographers, culminating in one or more performances. We will have approximately six choreographers working with us over the summer on a variety of long and short pieces, so students will have a wide range of projects to work on. (Details will be confirmed shortly).

Choreographers confirmed for our summer season are John Healey of Freefall Physical Theatre, Lorraine Smith and Katie Thies.

Volunteers

We are also looking for a volunteer to assist with running Cloud Dance; the workload is being broken down into admin, Marketing/PR, Fundraising, Education, Performances and Research, so this would be ideal for anyone seeking to gain or use their experience in any of these areas.

Additionally, we're urgently looking for a volunteer fundraiser to help us get started with fundraising and seeking sponsorship!
